About Dan

In 2006, I wrote Creative Drumming Made Simple - which has proven to be a fantastic way for students to be introduced to the instrument. The book provides all the basic tools, and the process involved in using those tools to be creative and make your own music.

I also set up www.drumhappy.net - a free resource for drummers. The site is basically a free way for teachers to advertise themselves and their work, which in turn becomes a big source of free downloads for drummers to educate themselves with.

I personally teach 50-60 drummers a week, at various primary and secondary schools in Melbourne, Australia.

2007 saw me turn 26, and in search of new musical adventures. In April I had my last gig with NITRO, a professional cover band that I played over 500 gigs with, all over Victoria.

I'm currently drumming and writing with Living Daylight, which can best be described as expressive metal, and The Ravens - a mix of Alt Country and Soul. I've had also some work in the Corporate Top 40 scene with Dan Melita and Oli Jones.

Mid 2008 was the release of Drum Teacher Toolbox, which is a great resource for any drum teachers out there. Plenty of big plans for the rest of the year..
